Mission Statement
The mission of the Shiocton School District Library Media Center is to teach students to be effective users of information and technology, encourage and prepare them to be life-long learners, and support teachers, staff members, and parents as they assist students in reaching their academic potential. This mission is accomplished by:
- providing intellectual and physical access to informational materials in a variety of formats and media
- promoting the use of the media center by students and faculty
- providing instruction in information literacy and technology
- working with teachers to develop educational strategies to meet the information needs of students
- stimulating an interest in reading, and finding and using information and ideas
- supporting the school's curriculum and educational initiatives
