2022 Season Review
The Shiocton Track & Field Team put together a great 2022 season where we had multiple state champions and several more athletes qualify for the state tournament at the end of the season.
Cade Stingle had a huge year by winning the 110m Hurdles (15.01 seconds) and 300m Hurdles (38.57 seconds) in LaCrosse. He had the fastest time in the 300m Hurdles regardless of Division. Cade also broke school records in the 110m Hurdles and the 300m Hurdles.
Kendal Stingle finished her 2022 season as a State Champion in the 300m Hurdles (44.97 seconds) and a State Runner-Up in the 100m Hurdles (15.66 seconds). Kendal's time in the 300m Hurdles broke a 34 year old school record in the 300m Hurdles!
The 4x400m Relay team consisting of Karissa Birch, Destiny Monnot, Shyann Singler, Lydia Hofacker, and Kendal Stingle qualified for state and posted their best time of the year at state (4:15.55) on their way to finishing in 10th place.
Jacob Klitzke threw a distance of 46'2" in the Shot Put and that distance qualified him to state.
Bennett Schmidt jumped a height of 6'1" in High Jump on his way to qualifying for state in that event.
Other notable performances on the year were Karissa Birch finishing 5th in Long Jump (16'.25"), 6th in the 200m Dash (27.25 seconds), and 7th in the 100m Dash (13.43 seconds) at sectionals.
Lexi Riehl also won a Conference Championship in Pole Vault (7'9") and qualified for sectionals in that event.
Destiny Monnot also qualified for sectionals in Triple Jump with a distance of 30'7".
Overall, the team improved immensely throughout the year and brought their best performances at the right time. Thank you to everyone who supported the team and we are looking forward to the future of this program! GO CHIEFS!
