Complete the (Google Doc) Student Info Sheet and Submit a 250-word typed essay about “how your life experience has influenced your college and/or career decision and what you hope to accomplish in that profession.” The completed application should be submitted to the high school student services office. Selection of the winner will be determined by the staff of the Seymour Advertiser.

This Scholarship has been established by the Diermeier family to honor our parents. Education was always encouraged by our parents and they believed in each person having the opportunity to reach their full potential. Senior planning to enroll in a 2 yr. or 4 yr. accredited school.  

 A student who has made good strides in overcoming adversity toward their goal of college or technical school education. A student that had to overcome the most to be able to make it into college. A student that is deserving but unable to quality for other scholarships based on class ranking or grade point average.

One senior student who plans to enroll in a 4-year degree program and has a GPA of 3.0 or better.

One senior student who plans to enroll in a 2-year or 4-year degree program and has a GPA of 3.5 or better. Must compete in at least one high school sport. Slight preference for students entering careers to the health fields, sciences, or mathematics.

To Apply: Fill out the scholarship application and submit it to Pupil Services. Include two (2) letters of recommendation - one from a coach/teacher and one from a non-school employee. Finalists will need to participate in a personal interview with Dr. Schroth.

Two $500 non-renewable scholarship awards for tuition expenses after successful completion of the first semester of post-secondary school while obtaining a 3.0 GPA.

Selection Committee: Recipient is selected each spring by a team comprised of the Apple family along with the high school principal and high school counselor. Notification of the winner will be forwarded to the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.

One (1) senior student enrolling in any program at any technical college. Preference will be given to someone obtaining a degree in a Tech Ed related field. Scholarship cannot be used for a 4-year college or university. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better. Money will be paid out after completion of the first semester and proof of enrollment for second semester.

To Apply: Fill out a scholarship application and obtain two (2) letters of recommendation - one (1) from a faculty member and one (1) from a community member.

One (1) Scholarship - $500.00

One senior student who has been in Student Council for three years of high school and will be attending college in the fall. Monies to be paid after the first semester.

Senior Softball players from the current graduating year who are attending a technical school or college, full- or part-time.

Payable: Scholarship is paid upon coach’s receipt of first semester passing grades at technical school or college.

Varies based on number of recipients awarded.

Applicant must be a basketball player, have a 3.0 or higher GPA, and be enrolled at an accredited college, university, technical, or trade school after graduation.

To Apply: Fill out a scholarship application, include one letter of recommendation from a teacher or non-family member, and submit a current copy of your high school transcript.

Two (2) Basketball Athlete Scholarships (one boy and one girl) of $250 each

To receive payment of the scholarship, submit a transcript to the Student Council advisor upon successful completion of your 1st semester college courses. Any failing grades will result in forfeiture of the scholarship monies.

Wrestling Scholarship Criteria

Applicant(s) must be a Shiocton high school wrestler or manager, have been actively involved for 2+ years at the High School Level. Scholarship is awarded to students attending a 2-year or 4-year college.

Requires two letters of recommendation; one letter must be from a high school wrestling coach. Must include a Cover Letter

This scholarship will be awarded to a wrestler, or an individual associated with the sport of wrestling based on quality of application and how well the applicant meets the criteria.

Items to Consider for Candidates:

● Service to the wrestling community (example - assistance at youth level or fundraising)

● Letters of Recommendation

● Community service outside of wrestling

● GPA

The scholarship award decision will be made by the current Shiocton Wrestling Club officers/board members via secret ballot.

Three (3) Wrestling Athlete Awards - $500.00 each

One (1) senior who is planning to further his/her education beyond high school. Preference will have given to a student who is interested in pursuing a career in the Arts or Teaching profession.

Applicant must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, be accepted to UW-Madison, and plan to enroll in a science or math related field of study.

One (1) Scholarship for expenses related to tuition, room and board at UW-Madison. Amount will be determined annually.
