The 2021 Shiocton Football season was a rollercoaster of a year, full of exciting ups and downs that made the program stronger.
The season started out well with two non-conference battles including a win against long time school rival Bonduel. Unfortunately, Shiocton stumbled heading into conference as their early games carried some tough losses. The team did pick up some traction with wins against Nekoosa and a last-minute contest against Pardeeville, but ultimately fell short of making the playoffs.
There were several highlights boasting a promising future for this program. For instance, senior Parker Moder broke the season passing record with the help of receivers such as Evan Leopold, Alfredo Ramirez, Dawson Schmidt, and Dylan Herb. Our defense also had its first shutout in years in large part due to our defensive linemen such as Mathan Schley, Hunter Schuh, and Dylan larson.
Much of the success this season came from an extremely talented group of juniors, including linemen Bradley Demerath, Devin jennerjohn, Davin Piechocki, and Jacob Klitzke. These guys upfront help paved the way for their explosive running backs like Cade Stingle, Colten Schuh, ad Dion Helser. These juniors also have demonstrated great leadership and work ethics, which coupled with the great potential we have from our underclassmen making the future look even more thrilling!
