2024 Season Preview
In the upcoming 2024 baseball season, the Shiocton Chiefs find themselves in an exciting position to defend their conference title. The chiefs are picked to finish fourth in the conference standings. Despite this ranking, the team is poised to bring their A-game to every matchup, ready to battle it out on the field. Anchored by a solid group of five seniors - Bennett Schmidt, Ty Marcks, Carter Young, Gunner Baker, and James Mutchie - the Chiefs have a wealth of experience and talent to rely on. Each senior brings a unique skill set and leadership qualities that will be instrumental in defending the conference title. Each senior brings their own unique strengths to the team, adding depth and leadership to the roster. Additionally, the four juniors - Blake Carton, Isaiah Carton, Sawyer Young, and Cody Young - bring a combination of skill, determination, and drive to the field, eager to showcase their abilities and compete for increased varsity playing time. As they continue to hone their craft and rise to the challenges of varsity-level competition, Blake, Isaiah, Sawyer, and Cody will play pivotal roles in shaping the team's success this season.
With a promising lineup of underclassmen including Jackson Young, Braylon Krull, Henry Garvey, Reid Flannery, Shawn Bergman, Tim Reese, Hunter Austin, Brandon Tesch, Andrew Young, and Dawson Biese, the team is poised for success. This talented group is dedicated to honing their skills and pushing themselves to earn valuable playing time, ensuring the Chiefs have a competitive edge throughout the season.
