The Shiocton Chiefs football program did well over the course of the 2024 season. After a rough start, the varsity team clawed its way back and earned a spot in the playoff pool. After an upset win over Roncalli, the Chiefs made it to level II of the playoffs where their season was ended by the now state champions, Edgar. The varsity football program ended their season with a 4-7 record.
Captains during the season were seniors Isaiah Carton, Jordan Jahnke, Tristan Mueller, Logan Van Camp, Ben Kortens, Matthew Wilke, and Lucas Hofacker. These gentlemen helped lead the team to several victories on and off the field. The Shiocton Chiefs football program received great reviews on their grade and behavior reports, and also volunteered throughout the community and in the favorite Challenger Flag Football League.
We set very high standards and demanded a lot from our team. We chose to “pursue perfection” and, although we fell short of that goal, we did find success in the end. With that in mind, we look forward to improving on this pursuit of excellence in the future, and with the promising young group coming up we feel more is yet to come for this program!
Go Chiefs!
