The 2024 Shiocton Golf Team consisted of 8 players this year.  We returned three players from last year's team (Zach Flannery, Sr., Logan Leeman, Sr., Tristan Mueller, Jr.) and then 5 freshmen rounded out the remainder of the roster (Katelyn Flannery, Owen Drath, Blake Young, Juan Rosas, and Emma Gooding).  The 4 mainstay varsity players were Zach Flannery, Logan Leeman, Tristan Mueller, and Katelyn Flannery.  As a team, we were very inexperienced, but I was so impressed with how much progress everyone made throughout the year. Additionally, credit should be given to our upperclassmen who welcomed the younger members with open arms.      

This was my first year coaching the Shiocton Golf Team and I truly couldn't imagine working with a better group of kids.  As I mentioned earlier, we certainly improved on the golf course, but as I am sitting here reflecting on the past season, I find myself mostly recalling our van ride conversations, our competitive games on the putting green, our Kwik Trip stops, and our visits to Culver's over any of our successes or failures.  These kids were a joy to be around.  Everyone had such a positive attitude.  In an individual sport, these kids pulled for each other.  I can only hope they gained as much from me as I did from them.  

Logan Leeman and Zach Flannery earned Academic All-State honors for their success in the classroom as student-athletes.
