The 2020 Track & Field season was cut short because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Once the WIAA announced the spring sports season would be cancelled, the track team did not miss a beat and continued with virtual training. The student-athletes followed a set of guidelines and policies made by the coaching staff in order to earn a varsity letter. YES, you read that right!
The staff developed a program that was reviewed and approved by administration where the T&F athletes could earn a varsity letter. This virtual program was made up of physical workouts, imaginative and creative work, educational studies, teamwork, self reflection and goal setting. By no means was this an easy task, but through hard work, dedication, and persistence over the six week virtual season, all those who chose to participate did earn their varsity letter. The program was designed to teach the athletes about themselves, their teammates and the “real world” that they will be exposed to after graduation.
The 2020 T&F Varsity Letter Winners include; Kaden Piechocki (Sr), Morgan Brux (Sr), Shelden Anday (Jr), Logan Heindl (Jr), Brehanna Cohen (Jr), Brianna Boucher (Jr), Callie Knoke (Jr), Ayden Lango (Soph), Parker Moder (Soph), Cameron Kriewaldt (Soph), Cade Stingle (Frosh), Davin Piechocki (Frosh), Jacob Klitzke (Frosh), Ari Stingle (Frosh), Kendal Stingle (Frosh), Abbie Fischer (Frosh).
